Inslee is coming to Gathered and we are seriously jumping for joy! As a watercolor artist, Inslee creates whimsical but still beautiful work that deeply resonates with us. She paints anything you can imagine, but her botanicals are especially lovely.
Back when we were installing #clientbowfinlane, we posted a shot of the super fun doormat we chose for our clients. It read “Come in, we’re awesome!” which perfectly captured the free-spirited vibe of the house and the clients who will be making memories there. Judging from our amount of DMs about the doormat, you all seemed to love it! So we’re excited to bring you a roundup of our favorite doormats. A fresh doormat is a wallet-friendly way to update your entry and serves as the ultimate first impression of your home. See our favorites below, including the same one we used at #clientbowfinlane.
Last week, we wrapped up a big install at the gorgeous beachfront home, #clientfortfisherblvd. While we can’t yet reveal the full project, we wanted to offer a peek behind the scenes. Install days are always interesting – fun, challenging, strenuous, comical and most of all, a true test of teamwork.

Living at the beach provides endless perks but let’s face it, it gets hot. Like, really hot. Even with your air conditioning cranking, a ceiling fan adds that fresh, moving air to cool off your space year round. We almost always incorporate ceiling fans into our coastal interior design projects, whether it’s in the master bedroom, a back porch or a living room with vaulted ceilings. As a bonus, many ceiling fans these days are just as beautiful as they are practical. We’ve rounded up our favorite ceiling fans here, all of which can be ordered through online retailers linked below.
You may have noticed that we’re striving to host creative and one-of-a-kind events here at the new studio and store location. We’re lucky to live in a town that’s brimming with incredibly talented visionaries, so we’re thrilled to announce our next upcoming event. Local Wilmington watercolor artist Laura Lobdell will be leading us in a unique painting class here at Gathered.
If you’ve been following us on social media, you know that we recently wrapped up a fun project here in Carolina Beach, #clientbowfinlane. While we can’t share the entire project just yet, we can give y’all a behind the scenes look at our entire design process, from the studs to the big, joyful reveal day. This home was especially extraordinary because our sweet clients gave us full rein of the project and didn’t see the home until every single detail was wrapped up and finished. Here is a breakdown of the full interior design process for #clientbowfinlane.
