If you follow Gathered on social media, you know we have a thing for beautiful coffee table books. We always keep them stocked here in the shop and place them in all of our interior design projects. Since we live in coastal Wilmington, we tend to gravitate towards books with a beachy spin, but we also love gorgeous books written by the big names in the design world. We’ve rounded up our go-to coffee table books, most of which are available to purchase here at Gathered.
Now that we’re fully moved into our new studio and store location, we wanted to share the inspiration for the design. Moving into a brand new building, Lindsey was excited to start from scratch to create a beautiful space. Polished concrete floors, loads of natural light and custom built-ins and cabinetry set the tone for our functional and beautiful space. She picked pieces with varying textures and wood tones to create a modern, coastal vibe.
Last week’s before and after post was so well received that we decided to dive right into another one. The before images from #clientarboretumdrive are somewhat painful – we can say that because our clients bought the house in this way and it was not their choice of decor. We stripped down the space of its dated, floral-heavy decor and incorporated a modern, coastal feel.
Lindsey and Grayson have two awesome kids, Tilley-Gray and Maines. When it came time to design their rooms, Lindsey created stylish, fun spaces for both of them. Each bedroom suits her kids’ personalities and the shared bathroom is not only playful but also super functional. Read on to get Lindsey’s take on designing these spaces.
We’re thrilled to share an inside peek into the before and after process of #projectcheekwood, Lindsey’s own home, which is currently featured in the new issue of Southern Living. The 1928 home had great bones but needed TONS of work. Lindsey and her husband Grayson worked closely with the architect and builder to create a home that would be perfect for their young family. For the next several weeks, we’ll feature a Q&A with Lindsey on the blog and get her personal take on each room in the house. Today, we’re going to focus on the entry hall and living room.
